Integrate Google Maps with Yoroflow

Google Map Integration #

To set up Google Map, 

  • Log in to your Yoroflow account and select your license. 
  • Navigate to the Administration menu. 
  • Open the Integrated Apps tab. 
  • Under the Common tab, select Google Map to configure the API Key. 
  • Click the API key menu and select Create New Secret. 
  • Enter the required details: 
  • Name in the Secret Key field  
  • API key in the Secret Value field  
  • Key type  
  • Rotation period  
  • Expiry date 
  • Then click Next. 
  • Provide access permissions to the required teams. 
  • Click Create. 
  • Add the newly created secret key to the Google Map configuration. 
  • Click Update to save the configuration. 

Generate an API Key from Google Console: #

  • Log in to your Google Cloud account using your credentials. 
  • In the Google Cloud Console Dashboard, navigate to APIs & Services. 
  • Click Enable APIs and Services at the top of the page. 
  • Select Maps JavaScript API. 
  • Click Manage to configure billing and payment options. 
  • Enter the required details such as Name and Country, then click Continue. 
  • Choose your preferred payment method and click Submit and Enable Billing. 
  • After the billing setup is completed, the API key will be generated successfully. 
  • Copy the generated API key and enter it in your Yoroflow account to configure the Google Map service. 

To track user’s worklog with location: #

  • Configure Google Maps by adding your API Key in the system settings. 
  • Navigate to Administration > Work Log By Location. 
  • Choose the desired user to view their recorded worklog locations on the map. 
  • To allow mobile users’ locations to be tracked: 
  • Go to Manage Organization  
  • Open the Location Tracking tab  
  • Enable the Location Tracking toggle button 

Once enabled, location data will be captured along with user worklog entries for supported mobile users.
